Our Mission:
To facilitate and provide young aspiring dancers in East Haven with the opportunity to study, perform, and creatively connect with educators, artists, and audiences. We aim to build relationships that instill confidence, competence, and commitment to refining their craft, as well as open doors through merit scholarships for performing arts education that might otherwise remain closed.
We strive to enrich the community through our outreach programs, festivals, concerts, and school demonstrations, highlighting the importance of arts education. Our goal is to promote artistic advancement by providing scholarships to high-risk youth, cultivating a love for the performing arts in those who may not afford lessons or the opportunities that accompany them.
We are dedicated to funding partnerships, collaborations, and special events with charitable organizations, acting as goodwill ambassadors by covering costs for costumes, master classes, or travel expenses related to community outreach dance initiatives.

Each year, millions of children express a desire to take dance classes, but financial constraints often prevent them from pursuing their passion. Arts programs are being cut from many schools, with nearly 57% of financial support directed toward sports programs, while only about 3% aids the arts. Unfortunately, most of this 3% benefits older children and dancers, neglecting the younger ones who need it most, especially those from underserved communities. Without access to arts education, including performing arts or visual arts, children lose an essential outlet for creative expression, physical exercise, and emotional release. Research shows that children with access to arts education, like dance classes in East Haven, tend to excel academically, develop better social skills, and demonstrate higher self-esteem—all indicators that they are more likely to gain admission to colleges and universities. This vital need is the foundation upon which the Juliano Dance Initiative Inc. was established.
Raising awareness of our cause is crucial for creating a long-term impact. Therefore, we are reaching out to our neighbors and community to ensure that dance and the arts remain accessible to everyone, regardless of financial or social status. Dance at any age possesses the ability to inspire, transform, and promote overall wellness, significantly encouraging individuality and artistic growth.
