1. DRESS CODE:

All Students must wear proper dance attire to all Dance Classes

Girls: designated color leotard, tights(pink for ballet),proper dance shoes(ex. Ballet Shoes for Ballet, Tap Shoes for Tap, Jazz boot for Jazz, etc.)

Boys: solid color t-shirt, black dance pants or tights, dance belt & proper dance shoes

Hip Hop : loose fitting clothes, sneakers

 All students must wear their hair in a bun

 No jewelry allowed in class

 No gum chewing in class

2. CONDUCT:

 While in the Dance Studio, students will conduct themselves in an orderly manner, with respect to the instructor and fellow students.

NO CELL PHONES  in the Dance rooms!

Disruptive behavior will result in the student sitting out and a meeting with the parent. Continued disruptive behavior may result in removal from class.

Students /Parents will not discredit, or speak negatively about The Dance Connection, its Faculty or fellow students on Social Media. Anyone caught doing so will be asked to leave the school.

Students/Parents will refrain from sharing choreography online without permission of The Dance Connection

3. ATTENDANCE/TARDINESS:

Frequent absences can affect the rate at which your child progresses.There are no refunds on classes missed; however you are welcome to come in another day & time to take class. 

There will be make-up classes scheduled to accommodate weather related cancellations and Major Holidays. 

Please notify the front desk staff if your child will be absent or tardy so we can let the teacher know. 

In the event of an extended illness or other unforeseen circumstances, please contact the office as soon as possible.

Children should arrive at least 15 minutes prior to class and check in with the front desk.

Any child who is more than 5 minutes late may be asked to sit out and observe only, unless previously worked out with the director

4. TUITION:

ALL TUITION PAYMENTS ARE TO BE KEPT UP TO DATE, AND PAID BY THE FIRST CLASS OF EACH MONTH.THE OWNERS/ DIRECTORS, OF THE DANCE CONNECTION HAVE THE RIGHT TO REFUSE LESSONS TO ANY CHILD WHO’S TUITION HAS NOT BEEN PAID.

Classes run September through June

Tuition is based on 9 months, and may be paid Monthly, Quarterly or Yearly

Tuition may be paid by Credit Card, Cash, Check

A late charge of $10.00 will be applied to any tuition not paid by the 10th of the month unless otherwise worked out with the Directors

Any returned check will insure a $25.00 service fee

5. CLASS PLACEMENT:

All students will be placed in classes according to ability & age

Placement is based on teachers sole discretion

6. WEATHER CANCELATIONS:

Any Cancelations due to Snow, Ice or Severe Weather will be listed on WTNH and NBC CT as well as announced on our Facebook and Instagram Pages.

7. NO SHOES IN DANCE ROOMS (DURING WINTER OR RAINY WEATHER)

8. No Smoking in studio

9. No food or soda in dance rooms, Only Water
